Kim Medlin is a first grade teacher at Cane Creek Elementary. She taught Kindergarten from 1996-1998 and was promoted to first grade in the fall of 1998. She has taught school in Hamblen and Grundy counties for a total of 16 years of teaching. She is from East Tennessee and graduated from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville, where she met her husband of 26 years. Her husband, Steve Medlin, is a teacher and football coach at
Cookeville High School. They have two sons. Travis graduated from MTSU in December 2006 with a degree in the recording industry. Lucas is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Engineering.
