Mr. Bilyeu acquired his degree
in elementary education from Tennessee Tech in 1996, and has
been a teacher at Cane Creek Elementary since 1998. Mr. Bilyeu’s
philosophy of education places strong emphasis on hands-on
learning and direct illustration of concepts. To encourage
student interest and attention, Mr. Bilyeu has numerous classroom
displays of snakes, tarantulas, lizards and scorpions. In
addition, Mr. Bilyeu also has on display collections of meteorites,
fossils, dinosaur models, etc. Mr. Bilyeu’s hobbies
include photography, astronomy, and listening to blues and
jazz music.
