Sheila King grew up in Cookeville
and is a proud graduate of the Putnam County school system.
She graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1981 with degrees in
Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She graduated
from
Cumberland University in 2000 with a Masters of Education.
Sheila has taught for 17 years. She began teaching first
grade
in the state of Arizona. Sheila currently teaches first grade,
after teaching kindergarten at CCES for the past eight years.
She was voted Cane Creek’s Teacher of the Year in 1999.
Sheila is married to Craig King and has two children, Jenna
and Chad. She enjoys reading books and traveling. She states,
“Cane Creek School is one of the best kept secrets
in Cookeville! Our faculty and staff are talented individuals.
