Kathy Mattson is a Pre-K teacher
at Cane Creek Elementary. She has been at Cane Creek since
the school opened in 1995. Mrs. Kathy, as she is known to
her students, has spent most all of her 24 years teaching
in kindergarten. She is a Cookeville native and graduated
from TTU with a degree in Elementary Education. She received
her Masters degree from Cumberland University. She has been
married for 33 years to Dale Mattson, and they have three
grown children. Mrs. Kathy likes to cook, read, walk, and
she loves the beach. Mrs. Kathy wants her students to have
a wonderful, positive, first experience in school. She believes
learning should be fun!
